Her Political Career did not go down well

In an interview with Tampabay in 2012, Jeanette revealed that she was more focused on her family life and children than in her husband’s political campaigns. She was given the job to manage the political action committees Marco used to support his travel and consultants. The decision which he later regretted it as a ‘disaster.

According to Marco, his decision resulted in confusion on financial transactions related to travel and expenses, due to “inexperience, sloppiness and a blur of paperwork“.

She devotes a part of her time Braman Family Foundation, a charity organization funded by one of her husband’s main donor Norman Braman with whom he has an up close personal and professional relationship.

Marco Rubio met Jeanette when she was a a cheerleader for Miami Dolphins. They were only slightly acquinted in high school but soon developed a chemistry and started dating. Rubio himself started college on a Football scholarship so he is no stranger to NFL.

“I always wanted to be an NFL player,” Marco Rubio told the Tampa Bay Times. “And now I’m going to have to tell my kids that the only one of her two parents that ever touched an NFL field was her mom.”, Rubio rues.

After meeting as teenagers, Marco went off to college at the University of Florida which prompted a long distance relationship. The couple would communicate via letter exchanges.

“It was harder and harder for me even to stay up there on the weekends, just because I wanted to be back here. So I would write these really long letters,” Marco Rubio told in an interview with Tampa Bay times.

“One of the letters that he wrote to me, I still have it. It was about how we were building a foundation and we were going through the steps. And he wrote all the steps in comparison to where we were in our relationship.”, Jeanette remembers her relationship.
